Planning to do some touring before or after your yoga and surf retreat? There are plenty of adventures awaiting you here in Nicaragua! Below are some of the must see sights and adventures that can easily be added onto your trip.

There is plenty to see and do in this old colonial city. Tour the cathedrals and markets, take a boat tour of lake Cocibolca which is only a stone’s throw from the city, wander through the beautiful catholic influenced cemetery, and of course explore the regions culinary delights.

This adventure is just a short drive from the city of Granada and is an excellent way to spend the day for those interested in hiking and zip-lines. Make sure you stop and check out the coffee plantation on your way up!

Omotepe is an island formed by two volcanoes and considered the largest island found in the world found within a freshwater lake. Besides trekking up the volcanoes you can also hike to waterfalls, soak in fresh spring water pools, check out petroglyphs, partake in zip-line adventures and go kayaking. With so much to do, you'll want a couple of days here.

This once sleepy fishing village has transformed to a tourist hotspot and is a great place to find some nightlife! This small town can easily be covered wandering on foot and is a great place to do some shopping, fishing, sailing, surfing and eating.

Masaya is a bustling Nicaragua city with vibrant markets which offer an excellent opportunity for some authentic souvenir shopping, and a look at some of this country’s beautiful culture. Last but definitely not least we will stop by Volcano Masaya, an active volcano with access to the mouth via car.
